About the role
- Ensure uninterrupted operation and optimize the performance of building services and production equipment
- Plan and organize all maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty systems and equipment
- Coordinate external contractors for installation, repair, and maintenance work
- Support and liaise with specialist assessors during internal inspections
- Manage the technical warehouse/spare parts inventory
- Work on the steam system – boiler operator duties
Requirements
- Completed master craftsman (Meister) or technician qualification in a technical or trade profession, preferably as a mechanical fitter
- Professional experience in maintenance, plant engineering/planning and the food processing industry is desirable
- Very good knowledge of drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding techniques, assembly of motors, sensors and protective devices, as well as systematic troubleshooting
- Leadership experience, assertiveness and strong teamwork skills
- SAP knowledge is an advantage but not required
- Strong technical understanding
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty
