About the role

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies across assigned accounts.
  • Complete intercompany reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries.
  • Perform detailed bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger and addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage and complete the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • Analyze income statements and balance sheets to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing timely and accurate information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures.
  • Cash Management Function: Daily Cash Report to Management and maintain daily cash sweep to maximize interest earning.
  • Reconcile Amazon Seller Central settlement statements and research integration errors.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain audit ready workbook and record depreciation entries for Product and Software Capitalization and PPE assets.
  • Manage lease accounting lifecycle under ASC 842, including maintaining ROU asset and liability schedules and ensuring accurate monthly amortization and interest entries.
  • Administer derivative and hedge accounting to ensure compliance with ASC 815.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5-7 years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Netsuite experience is required.
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central preferred.
  • Experience with managing subscription revenue via Stripe preferred.
  • Someone who is driven, detail oriented, good at following instruction but also willing to look at other ways to improve, tech savvy, open to learning and collaboration.
  • Overtime might be required during month end and special projects.
