About the role
- As an IT Specialist for System Integration (m/f/d), based in the heart of Bonn's Old Town, you ensure that IT for our customers across Germany runs securely, stably, and efficiently.
- Network infrastructure – You are responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT systems of medical practices, clinics and Mac-based offices, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Fault analysis – You analyze deep network and infrastructure issues, perform packet analyses (e.g., with Wireshark), identify root causes and resolve them together with your team.
- Security and availability – You ensure that firewalls, security solutions (e.g., pfSense, Securepoint), IDS/IPS systems, as well as servers and networks, remain stable, available, and protected.
- Projects & development – You actively contribute to infrastructure projects, migrations, and architecture optimizations, including virtualization (e.g., VMware, Proxmox) and security-related initiatives.
- Administration – You manage systems and networks based on Linux and macOS and ensure their proper operation, working closely with infrastructure, security, and external teams.
Requirements
- Education – You have completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or hold a degree (e.g., Computer Science / Business Informatics).
- Experience – At least 3–5 years of experience in 2nd/3rd level support with a focus on network, firewall, and infrastructure.
- Technical know-how – Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLAN, WAN, VPN, and NAT, as well as administration of Windows Server and Linux systems. Experience with firewalls/UTM solutions (pfSense, Securepoint) is required.
- Service orientation / Empathy – You enjoy helping others, are service-oriented, and have a strong customer focus.
- Soft skills – You bring analytical thinking, organizational ability, and a structured, flexible working style, and you remain calm when dealing with complex problems.
- Language skills and mobility – Very good German skills (minimum C1) are required; a Class B driving license is an advantage.
