About the role

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be part of a team of expert developers working on Sysdig Monitor Product.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in product and design to define feature specifications and timelines.
  • Solve challenging problems about integrations, scalability and performance in a complex distributed system, to build reliable components.
  • Be part of an amazing team, where the primary goal for everybody is to work together to build the best product.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address any urgent issue.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with Java Backend, such as RESTful API design and microservice-based architectures
  • Preferably some exposure to Golang and Python languages
  • Some Frontend web development experience with React
  • Hands-on experience on computer science fundamentals in design, data structures and algorithms
  • Proficiency with testing methodologies, such as unit testing and integration testing
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working in a cross team environment, contributing to technical and product discussions
  • Willing to participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and improve
  • Willing to code and learn in different areas, ranging from Backend development to scripting tools
  • Fluent in English with proficiency to collaborate with a global team while expressing your thoughts and ideas and see them come to fruition
  • Experience operating in Kubernetes and Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable
