Generate and analyze data on business and category performance to provide actionable insights
Support decision-making processes within the Merchandising team
Aggregate insights to facilitate the development of category and assortment strategies
Conduct ad hoc deep dive analyses to address specific business challenges
Design and execute analytical projects to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Develop a deep familiarity with back-end source tables to create scripts for efficient data querying
Ensure accuracy and reliability of data by continuously monitoring and validating data sources and tools
Identify areas for improvement in existing analytical tools and processes
Regularly collaborate with Merchandising teams to enhance product and assortment knowledge
Develop insights on business performance and strategies to guide decision-making
Develop a deep understanding of the organization's categories and assortment offerings
Familiarize yourself with key performance indicators (KPIs) used to manage the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Math, or a related field
3+ years of experience
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Proficiency in SQL required with preference towards Python
Analytical thinker who can draw sound business conclusions from multiple sources of information
Experienced quantitative problem solver who can manage complex issues and interpret large data sets comfortably
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner
Self-driven individual who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing scalable solutions
Active learner with a propensity for continuous improvement
Able to work independently and proactively within the defined scope of responsibility
Detail-oriented.
