About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Americas region to drive revenue and market share growth
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base across key adhesives market segments including (but not limited to) hygiene, packaging, tapes & labels, flex packaging and tyres
  • Analyse and communicate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine sales tactics and product positioning
  • Collaborate with global teams across the organization to prioritize customer needs to maximize division results
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners to ensure long-term business success
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a regional sales team, setting clear goals and performance expectations
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture by implementing best practices in sales processes, training, and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard top sales talent within the region
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Actively involved in negotiation and management of large contracts and strategic partnerships in the region
  • Instrumental in strengthening the Synthomer adhesive solutions brand in the EMEA region
  • Lead EMEA commercial cross functional teams by working closely with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and Technology, to align sales efforts with business objectives
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and networking
  • Accountable for achieving the Americas sales budget on revenue, new business and gross margin
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements and company policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales experience within the chemical manufacturing or related industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth in a multinational environment
  • Strong understanding of the Americas market, customer dynamics, and regional regulations
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region as required
