About the role
- Provide day-to-day functional support for HRIS applications, including issue resolution, system configuration support, testing, and validation of fixes or enhancements.
- Analyze HR data and system functionality to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Support system releases, patches, and enhancements in partnership with IT and vendors, including planning, testing, and post-release validation.
- Participate in system maintenance activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with defined business rules.
- Create and execute test scripts; support functional and regression testing to ensure system changes meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and business partners to gather, document, and clarify requirements for new or enhanced system functionality.
- Support reporting and data analysis efforts by ensuring data quality and consistency; assist with building or validating reports and queries as needed.
- Assist with HR system integrations by supporting testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of data flows between systems.
- Provide customer support to HR partners and employees by responding to inquiries, researching issues, and recommending solutions.
- Perform routine audits and data reviews to monitor data integrity and partner with stakeholders to address discrepancies.
- Contribute to process documentation, job aids, and knowledge-sharing materials to support consistent system usage.
- May mentor or assist junior analysts with complex issues, troubleshooting, or testing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant HRIS, HR technology, or related systems experience.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and standard HR practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Experience supporting HR systems, including testing, configuration support, and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with reports, data sets, and queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
