About the role

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale automation solutions at client sites
  • Ensure teams remain aligned, execution stays on track, and risks are identified and managed early
  • Work directly with customers and Symbotic executive leadership and mentor other project managers
  • Own project delivery, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met
  • Manage full project lifecycle from site preparation and design coordination to final system acceptance
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, and product leaders to coordinate timelines and delivery
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues
  • Champion continuous improvement of processes, standards, and communications
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Remote, travel-based role requiring travel up to 60% and collaboration with Grove City, Ohio team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects
  • Proven expertise in scheduling, scope, cost, and risk management for complex technical programs
  • Background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling strongly preferred
  • Experience managing design/build, installation, and construction projects
  • Skilled at stakeholder management across executives, clients, contractors, and engineering teams
  • Track record of delivery on time and within budget
  • Strong problem-solving under pressure and ability to implement creative solutions
  • Effective negotiator with proven ability to balance competing priorities
  • Proficient with scheduling software, earned value management, and data-driven performance tracking (Smartsheet / Jira)
  • Ability to provide technical insight and facilitate informed design/process discussions
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client locations
  • Employee must own a credit card and manage expenses for reimbursement
  • Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and in restrictive areas; comply with safety and PPE requirements
  • Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit
