About the role
- Clearly analyze, report, and measure team performance metrics using our systems to maximize the efficiency, quality, and customer service of our claims operation.
- Responsible for the selection, evaluation, and retention of necessary contractors, adjusting firms, or related experts to assist in the daily handling of all applicable claims in each state of business.
- Partner with the Director, Claims to assist in establishing staff objectives and performance goals.
- Hire, train, coach, and mentor new and existing team members.
- Utilize your previous claims expertise to create and maintain comprehensive claim handling guidelines for various areas of the business.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and audits on current team members and field adjusting firms to ensure compliance and best practices are being followed.
- Due diligence is important to us!
- Participation in special projects as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a desk adjuster in the homeowner/property industry.
- Adjusting all perils (fire, hail, wind, water, theft, lightning, vandalism, etc.).
- 3+ years of management experience, leading a team of 5-10 adjusters in the P&C world.
- Understanding valued policy states and knowledge of which perils apply and when tendering limits are appropriate.
- Previous experience working with contractors, and vendors for claims resolution.
- Previous experience evaluating Proof of Losses.
- Previous experience handling CRN, DTPA, NOI, mediations, and appraisals.
- Ability to conduct recorded statements with insureds.
- Ability to leverage compromised settlements as a part of negotiation strategies.
- You are currently licensed or eligible for licensing as an adjuster in the states of: FL,TX, NY and LA (we can provide assistance with your licensing fees).
