About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of application engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Partner with sales, commercial operations, and customers to deliver on-time and on-budget CM&U solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Oversee the evolution of the team, ensuring processes, skills, and capabilities are continuously enhanced to meet business needs.
- Optimize the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process for quoting complex gas upgrades, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify and manage technical and cost risks, ensuring robustness of cost and scope estimates.
- Collaborate on Estimate at Completion (EAC) management to support financial and operational objectives.
- Champion a Lean culture and continuous improvement across the team and processes.
Requirements
- A min of 7 years of experience in direct or indirect people leadership
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
- Proven experience leading global engineering teams, preferably within the energy or industrial gas sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex technical solutions for gas upgrades, conversions, and modifications.
- Strong background in risk identification, cost estimation, and scope management.
- Solid understanding of commercial and operational processes, particularly ITO.
- Track record of driving Lean initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
