About the role
- Provide Technical Leadership of a small group of Engineers and Contractors in activities related to analyses, calculations and technical evaluations required for timely resolution of design and implementation issues
- Manage project work schedules and priorities
- Mentor and provide technical leadership in area of expertise to other engineers and projects
- Support civil systems design and/or equipment construction activities
- Review and approve vendor document submittals
- Support the certification processes for GE Products to address all US NRC (or other nuclear regulator) design certification requirements
- Establish and maintain technical oversight of the applicable regulations
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
- Master’s Degree or greater in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or University preferred
- Minimum of 5-8 years of Nuclear or Industrial Technology or Engineering experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, BWR core/fuel material behavior, and mechanical or structural design fundamentals
- Professional Engineer registration in one or more states
