About the role

  • Responsible for programing a component, feature and or feature set.
  • Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business.
  • Contribute to design discussions.
  • Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and adhere to best practices.
  • Deliver API Configurations with SAP System Configurations for data integrations and ETL workflows using Dell Boomi.
  • Work closely with the team to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy, quality, and accessibility.
  • Develop, test, and deploy integration processes to transfer data between internal and external systems.
  • Support the monitoring and troubleshooting of existing integrations, identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Document integration processes, data mapping, and any system modifications.
  • Participate in team meetings to understand project requirements and contribute to design discussions.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL, Functions etc.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience
  • Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using OData services within SAP S/4HANA, following SAP and industry best practices.
  • Strong experience in RESTful API design, ensuring security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Solid understanding of CDS Views for data modeling and exposure, including annotations for OData services.
  • Exposure in SAP Basis administration, Server Maintenance, including system installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Integrate SAP S/4HANA with external systems using standard and custom APIs.
  • Deliver API capabilities through SAP system configurations, including service activation, communication arrangements, and authorization setup.
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization configurations in SAP HANA/SAP BTP environments.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP add-on assembly, including packaging, versioning, transport, and release of custom add-ons.
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Cloud Connector for secure hybrid integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, architects, and external partners) to gather and translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for APIs, integrations, and system configurations.
  • Provide clear, concise documentation for both developers and end users to support implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum as well as Waterfall project methodologies, adapting to project needs and delivery models.
