About the role
- Develop strategic sources and vendor alliances to improve customer responsiveness
- Negotiate with dedicated providers to achieve best contractual conditions
- Collaborate cross functionally to meet Gas Power’s strategic goals
- Act as a strategic coach to develop supplier strategies for the Americas
- Set the strategy to participate in available SAS of Major and Minor outages
- Identify & establish dedicated providers for steam and generator parts and repairs
- Communicate services volume to global commodity leaders
- Drive initiatives with critical vendors to expand capacity, capability, inventories
- Support emergent customer issues as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Services commercial or execution roles, including a minimum of 5 years in the power generation industry
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, resolve problems, and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Proven customer focus mindset
- Demonstrated ability to drive and implement standards globally
- Able to interface effectively, influence and build strong networks across all levels of the organization
- Experience in areas of integrity, controllership, and compliance
- Willingness and ability to travel
