About the role
- influence, bid, win, and execute high-value opportunities involving carbon capture technologies
- define and execute engineering roadmaps for CCS and decarbonization solutions
- develop standard products and processes for execution readiness and speed
- lead complex, system-level cross-functional integration across Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSGs, and Balance of Plant equipment
- lead the technical strategy and development of Authorization to Quote (ATQ) efforts for decarbonization offerings
- serve as a technical authority in interactions with customer C-suite leaders
- support customer Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies
- develop and maintain simplified tools to estimate power plant performance, cost, and cycle efficiency related to carbon capture and storage
- lead the development of critical technologies
- cultivate a team culture centered on "decarb passion," accountability, and urgency
- develop the next generation of technical leaders and principal engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience in power plant applications, turbomachinery, or large integrated energy systems
- Proven background in decarbonization, carbon capture, or low-carbon technology development
- Deep knowledge of thermodynamics, carbon capture solvents, compression technologies, and emissions compliance
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions in high-ambiguity domains across a global landscape
- Strong ability to influence leadership and manage stakeholders within a complex matrix organization and across external partnerships
- Excellent strategic planning skills with a track record of driving key projects to completion under overlapping deadlines
- Ability to distill and communicate complex technical topics into simple, actionable insights for all levels of the organization and external customers.
