About the role
- work within the Fuels and Digital Engineering team of Global Nuclear Fuel – Americas (GNF)
- manage engineers performing safety analysis in support of various applications including BWR transient analyses and thermal hydraulic analyses
- demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
- support the development of technical talent and depth within the team
- provide leadership, resources and training needed to assure high quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures and regulatory agency guidelines
- support the development, maintenance and control of the licensing and design bases and improvement of analysis processes
- interface with project management and direct resources to execute to defined project work schedules and priorities
- monitor and enforce compliance with policies and procedures
- interface with internal customers, external customers and the NRC on technical issues
- act as a leader in company / business initiatives
- support GVH quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Condition Reports, identifying and providing needed training and mentoring, maintaining adequate levels of qualified personnel
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical or similar)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
- Operating at a senior level within the organization
- Knowledge of project management
- Strong delivery mindset
- Experience with Services and NPP projects
- Previous technical leadership experience or ownership in key technical areas
- Working knowledge of applied statistical framework of nuclear reactor core and fuel licensing, technical specifications, safety margin basis, and related Federal Regulations.
- Knowledge of nuclear analysis processes and the related interfaces between the GE Energy - Nuclear businesses
- Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others.
- Team player with strong leadership capabilities.
- Legacy of delivering on commitments; tenacious, with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles.
- Ability to achieve stretch targets.
- Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity.
