About the role
- Develop and ensure compliance with the HSE plan (health, safety and environment)
- Manage project scope by planning, organizing and supervising the field team
- Work closely with the project planner/scheduler to develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules
- Manage actual and forecasted costs
- Work with a cross-functional project team and understand all deliverables that could affect field execution
- Prepare the project site before crew mobilization (e.g., infrastructure, tooling, etc.)
- Actively participate in design processes, the development of new lessons learned, and feedback/continuous improvement processes
- Manage site documentation (quality, HSE, daily reports, timekeeping, expense reports, etc.)
- Actively participate in defining special tooling requirements with the Methods and Tooling team
- Promote margin-improvement opportunities, cost-optimization initiatives, and scope-extension opportunities
- Contribute to the training program as required
Requirements
- University degree (B.Sc. or B.Eng.) in a technical or management discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in site management
- Experience in power generation
- Experience in cost control
- Familiarity with technical concepts (including hydroelectric machinery, turbines, generators/alternators, etc.)
- Excellent leadership skills
