About the role
- Provide global leadership for manufacturing innovation
- Define and deploy global standards for automation, robotics, sensing and AI across manufacturing operations
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Manage a local team of automation and robotics professionals
- Monitor external advancements in robotics, AI and automation technologies
- Develop, own and execute the annual innovation roadmap and the long-term automation and robotics strategy
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Project Management
- Minimum 12–15 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in management roles
- Proven experience directly leading professional and production employees
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong oral and written communication skills for executive-level presentations and technical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence others and lead cross-functional teams
- Expertise/knowledge of gas turbine manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, sensing and manufacturing control systems
- Strong management of the innovation lifecycle: concept, prototype, pilot, scale-up
- Lean manufacturing and DFSS methodologies
- Fluent in French and English
