About the role
- Responsible for the creation of methods, processes and tools for unplanned maintenance like Major Component Upgrades and Craneless Repairs
- Develop repair procedures and tooling required for Service NPI
- Document lessons learned and update standard work
- Create and maintain project plans
- Develop, test and validate repair/replacement procedures through model walk-throughs and prototyping
- Ensure design allows for safe installation, operation, and disassembly of tools
- Mentor younger engineers in CAD modelling and repair process creation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or equivalent)
- 8 years of experience in an engineering, operations, test, or manufacturing field
- Ability and willingness to travel 10-20+% of the time, both domestic and international
- Ability and willingness to climb wind turbines and work at heights
- Proficiency with English both written and oral communication
- At least 3 years of wind turbine repair development experience
- Safety conscious
- Lean and standard work experience or certification
- Familiarity with industrial tooling
- Familiarity with empathic design
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with CAD design and analysis
- PC proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
