About the role
- Develop, update and consolidate schedules, ensuring alignment with project strategy, contractual milestones and regulatory requirements.
- Perform critical path, float and impact analyses to anticipate schedule deviations and support decision-making.
- Build and analyze alternative “what‑if” scenarios to optimize delivery timelines and resource utilization.
- Identify schedule-related risks and opportunities, and lead mitigation and recovery action plans with project teams.
- Monitor progress and key milestones, ensuring consistency with cost forecasts, resource plans and contractual commitments.
- Prepare and present planning reports and dashboards for internal reviews and client reviews.
- Integrate contractual elements into schedules to ensure accurate progress tracking, invoicing and reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of claims dossiers related to schedule delays, including schedule impact analyses and delay justifications in accordance with contractual provisions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering, supply chain and other stakeholders to optimize schedules.
- Lead a team of planners across two sites and develop planning best practices. Coach/mentor team members with a focus on continuous improvement of tools, processes and standards.
Requirements
- At least a Master’s degree (engineering or equivalent university degree) in project management, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in planning and schedule control for EPC projects.
- Excellent command of project planning principles, methods and techniques.
- Familiarity with planning tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Strong understanding of processes related to the manufacture of electrical rotating machines.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience in team management.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
