About the role
- Assist the Project Director in leading the project team and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
- Owns the Remedial Works plan for the Main Components Exchange for the Project
- Ensure project plans are developed, maintained, and executed effectively
- Provide strategic direction and make critical decisions in the absence of the Project Director
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, customers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities
- Foster strong relationships and ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Ensure all project deliverables meet employer’s requirements, quality standards and comply with regulatory obligations
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the project team
- Support the recruitment, development, and retention of project team members
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to the Project Director, steering committee, and other stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
- Proven experience in the offshore wind or renewable energy sector
- Previous experience in a deputy or assistant project director role is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including navigating complex matrixial environment
- Proficient in project management tools and software
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
- Understanding of offshore wind technology and industry standards
