About the role

  • Assist the Project Director in leading the project team and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
  • Owns the Remedial Works plan for the Main Components Exchange for the Project
  • Ensure project plans are developed, maintained, and executed effectively
  • Provide strategic direction and make critical decisions in the absence of the Project Director
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, customers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities
  • Foster strong relationships and ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet employer’s requirements, quality standards and comply with regulatory obligations
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the project team
  • Support the recruitment, development, and retention of project team members
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to the Project Director, steering committee, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
  • Proven experience in the offshore wind or renewable energy sector
  • Previous experience in a deputy or assistant project director role is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including navigating complex matrixial environment
  • Proficient in project management tools and software
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Understanding of offshore wind technology and industry standards
