About the role
- Execute Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) transient analyses and thermal hydraulic analyses supporting a variety of applications.
- Provide reload transient analysis project leadership on a production-oriented engineering analysis team.
- Ensure on-time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering analysis, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations supporting reload analysis work.
- Provide day-to-day oversight and schedule maintenance for reload activities; implement reload delivery meetings and oversight as necessary to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality analyses.
- Work in tandem with the plant Technical Leader to manage and execute solutions to complex technical issues for internal and external customers that arise during reload analyses.
- Provide and facilitate technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and knowledge management.
- Apply nuclear/thermal hydraulic methods to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements and deliver transient analyses supporting Supplemental Reload Licensing Reports.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a technology or engineering role.
- The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government (if applicable).

- Strong commitment to promoting a strong nuclear safety culture and prioritizing quality and safety over delivery (desired).
- Demonstrated understanding of GNF reload licensing process (desired).
- Relevant experience with BWR core simulation or thermal-hydraulic systems analysis (e.g., PANACEA, ODYN, TRACG, RELAP) (desired).
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling; ability to conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques (desired).
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response (desired).
- Extensive knowledge of nuclear engineering fundamentals such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design as applied to BWR (desired).
- Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques (desired).
