About the role
- Functioning as a Cost Analyst on assigned projects and leading a team of Cost Analysts.
- Cost tracking and development of cost execution plans (e.g., cost curves).
- Run weekly and monthly detailed cost reports by project scope.
- Monitor budget line items weekly and identify variances.
- Maintain budget version control to ensure agreed budget changes are updated in budget forecast.
- Work with budget owners to estimate Cost to Complete based on actual costs and commitments.
- Support Bill of Quantity (BOQ) quantity tracking tied to unit costs.
- Run risk & opportunity analysis and monitor project risks.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses on estimating headwinds cost implications.
- Partner cross-functionally to execute mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Cost Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCP, SSBB, CMA, CPIM, PE, FE) is preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in these fields may be considered.
- Extensive experience in cost analysis and management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with effective cost tracking and budget management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, cost tracking software, and project management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop cost execution plans and conduct risk and opportunity analyses.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
