About the role
- Design and analyze structural systems for residential renovations and small commercial projects
- Conduct structural inspections, foundation assessments, and forensic evaluations (20-40% field time)
- Collaborate and communicate directly with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver solutions
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents ensuring compliance with building codes
- Work full-time with a mix of in-office, remote, and field duties; opportunity to specialize and advance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1-2 years of structural engineering experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
- Technical proficiency with Mathcad, Bluebeam, and Autodesk products (Revit/AutoCAD)
- Strong communicator able to discuss complex issues with diverse stakeholders
- Self-starter willing to perform field work and on-site inspections
- Design experience and residential structural experience preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available
