About the role

  • Lead incident response activities during security events, ensuring proper escalation, communication, and resolution
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures aligned with industry best practices
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams during incident investigations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement process improvements
  • Manage incident documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on incident management best practices and security protocols
  • Lead tabletop exercises and simulations to test and improve incident response capabilities
  • Monitor and analyse security alerts and events to identify potential incidents requiring escalation
  • Establish metrics to measure incident response effectiveness and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in cybersecurity, incident response or security operations
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident response activities and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and incident management methodologies
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and incident tracking systems
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or SANS certifications (nice-to-have)
  • Experience in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare, etc.) (nice-to-have)
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence and its application to incident response (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with digital forensics tools and techniques (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with cloud security incident response (nice-to-have)
  • Project management skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives (nice-to-have)
  • Spanish language (nice-to-have)
