About the role
- Lead incident response activities during security events, ensuring proper escalation, communication, and resolution
- Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures aligned with industry best practices
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during incident investigations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement process improvements
- Manage incident documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on incident management best practices and security protocols
- Lead tabletop exercises and simulations to test and improve incident response capabilities
- Monitor and analyse security alerts and events to identify potential incidents requiring escalation
- Establish metrics to measure incident response effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in cybersecurity, incident response or security operations
- Demonstrated experience leading incident response activities and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and incident management methodologies
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and incident tracking systems
- Strong communication skills in English
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or SANS certifications (nice-to-have)
- Experience in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare, etc.) (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and its application to incident response (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with digital forensics tools and techniques (nice-to-have)
- Experience with cloud security incident response (nice-to-have)
- Project management skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives (nice-to-have)
- Spanish language (nice-to-have)
