About the role
- Build legal expertise in drafting reinsurance contracts with guidance from senior colleagues
- Review and analyze reinsurance contracts and related documents to ensure alignment with business intent and corporate requirements
- Learn compliance frameworks to align contracts with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Support the development of corporate policies on contract-related matters
- Participate in negotiations alongside experienced team members, gaining exposure to discussions with internal partners, external clients, and brokers
- Contribute to innovation by supporting AI-driven enhancements to contract management IT infrastructure and tools
- Create training materials and assist in delivering training
- Apply governance standards to contract wordings and processes
Requirements
- University degree in law (additional legal qualifications are a plus)
- Up to 2 years' experience with a basic understanding of insurance or reinsurance concepts (or willingness to learn)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English and French (verbal and written)
- Agile, pragmatic, can-do attitude
