About the role

  • Lead business development efforts across a defined client portfolio
  • Identify client needs and design tailored reinsurance solutions
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth through long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value and meet ambitious sales targets
  • Drive sales excellence through consultative selling and strategic client engagement
  • Develop commercial reinsurance propositions, including underlying risk costing
  • Apply technical expertise to align client needs with Swiss Re’s reinsurance solutions
  • Proactively market Swiss Re capabilities to generate new business opportunities
  • Differentiate Swiss Re’s value proposition from competitors
  • Build trusted, long-standing relationships across client organisations
  • Set and execute reinsurance strategy for each client, coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Oversee internal governance processes and ensure high compliance standards
  • Support brand promotion activities and act as a visible ambassador for Swiss Re UK & Ireland Life & Health

Requirements

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Life & Health protection market
  • Expert understanding of protection products, propositions and profitability drivers
  • Experience designing and executing strategic business plans
  • Passion for deal execution and commercial growth
  • Ability to lead and coordinate large cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication, diligence and commitment to quality
  • Nice to Have Qualified actuary (FIA / FFA / FSA or equivalent)
  • Experience in reinsurance protection pricing or proposition development
  • Background in multi-dimensional, client-facing roles
  • People management or leadership experience
