About the role

  • Act as first point of contact for business partners related to operational, Compliance and financial risk topics
  • Maintain a robust risk and control framework that is fit for purpose
  • Collaborate with peer Senior Governance Managers across the globe to strengthen the operational risk control landscape
  • Pro-actively drive identification of any potential gaps in controls and improvement areas
  • Lead governance workstreams of regional or global projects related to process improvements
  • Collaborate with assurance functions to drive greater value for the first line while ensuring a good governance framework
  • Stay calm, focused and resilient in difficult times providing clarity on a way-forward for business partners

Requirements

  • Multi-disciplinary Reinsurance expertise with governance and operational risk focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong client orientation
  • Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams
  • Willingness to learn, openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges
  • Attention to detail: You have a passion for the detail while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Candidate should be able to deal with a fair amount of ambiguity e.g., ability to handle diversity and be able to work in a matrix organization
  • Results orientation – clear track record of execution and pragmatism in prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of and keen interest in technology advancements, including Generative AI.
