About the role
- Act as first point of contact for business partners related to operational, Compliance and financial risk topics
- Maintain a robust risk and control framework that is fit for purpose
- Collaborate with peer Senior Governance Managers across the globe to strengthen the operational risk control landscape
- Pro-actively drive identification of any potential gaps in controls and improvement areas
- Lead governance workstreams of regional or global projects related to process improvements
- Collaborate with assurance functions to drive greater value for the first line while ensuring a good governance framework
- Stay calm, focused and resilient in difficult times providing clarity on a way-forward for business partners
Requirements
- Multi-disciplinary Reinsurance expertise with governance and operational risk focus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong client orientation
- Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams
- Willingness to learn, openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges
- Attention to detail: You have a passion for the detail while keeping the big picture in mind
- Candidate should be able to deal with a fair amount of ambiguity e.g., ability to handle diversity and be able to work in a matrix organization
- Results orientation – clear track record of execution and pragmatism in prioritization.
- Strong understanding of and keen interest in technology advancements, including Generative AI.
