About the role

  • Primary technical point of contact for a small, high-performing purchasing team across multiple international locations
  • Develop and implement long-term, globally oriented purchasing strategies to optimize costs and resources
  • Develop and implement effective material group (category) strategies
  • Optimize the global supply chain with a particular focus on alternative raw materials and new sourcing channels
  • Build a high-performing supplier network with a focus on the Asian market, including on-site supplier meetings
  • Actively shape and maintain a strong internal and external network

Requirements

  • Successfully completed training in the chemical or pharmaceutical field; an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Experience coordinating small teams and enjoyment of hands-on, practical collaboration
  • Business-fluent English (spoken and written) and very good German
  • Structured and independent working style combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational talent
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30–50%)
