About the role
- Act as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters in Romania, handling cases with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Manage a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance and disciplinary actions, grievances, misconduct, and terminations, ensuring fairness and respect for all involved.
- Lead and facilitate complex investigations, ensuring outcomes are legally compliant and reflect our organizational values.
- Provide expert guidance during organizational change, supporting transparent and legally compliant processes.
- Serve as the go-to expert on Romanian labor law, offering business-focused advice to HR and leadership teams.
- Ensure that employee relations practices are compliant with local labor laws and consistently applied across the organization.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on high-risk or complex cases, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to help leaders address employee relations matters effectively.
- Work closely with the Talent & Culture team to integrate employee relations practices with performance management frameworks, policies, and employee experience initiatives.
- Contribute to ER training programs, helping managers navigate difficult conversations and handle performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Keep accurate and confidential records of all employee relations cases.
- Provide valuable insights and trend reports to People leadership, helping drive informed decision-making.
- Support audits and internal reviews related to employment practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Employee Relations or a similar HR role, preferably within a tech or multinational company.
- In-depth knowledge of Romanian labor law and employment regulations, with practical experience in handling complex situations.
- Proven experience in managing investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations (both voluntary and involuntary).
- Experience supporting organizations through change (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, restructurings) is a plus.
- High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and a strong sense of discretion.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
