Manager

• Provide support for SFI and PLT Canada’s programs in Canada
• Develop, update and distribute communications products to support the elevation of SFI certification and PLT Canada programs
• Support forestry communications and project management for the Communications and Canadian Operations
• Coordinate and deliver French programming for PLT Canada and SFI
• Increase access by Francophones to SFI programs and products
• Support the delivery of environmental education and career pathways programs for PLT Canada
• Strengthen relationships with Canadian partners, employers, Indigenous communities, and youth serving organizations
• Support Canadian government relations efforts, such as preparing pre budget submissions, government submissions, analysis of government announcements, drafting of letters
• Support Indigenous Relations work, including relationship-building, program development, and partnership opportunities

Senior Manager, Canadian Programs

Accountant

• Process vendor invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring proper approvals and coding.
• Verify that all expenditures are properly authorized and supported with appropriate documentation.
• Record and reconcile incoming payments, including grant reimbursements, donor contributions, and other receivables.
• Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, and closing entries as needed.
• Provide accurate schedules and reconciliations to auditors and management as requested.
• Ensure all accounting activities and records comply with S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Staff Accountant II

Community Manager

• Manage and oversee a $5 million grant through the USFS Urban and Community Forestry program.
• Provide technical assistance, support and urban forestry expertise to passthrough grant recipients related to reporting, compliance, grant administration, and implementation.
• Promote and support the implementation of the SFI Urban and Community Forest Sustainability Standard in collaboration with municipalities, universities and corporations while building relationships across additional sectors.
• Develop and strengthen collaborative partnerships that contribute to sustainable urban and community forest management.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the growth and long-term sustainability of SFI’s urban and community forestry initiatives.
• Serve as SFI’s subject matter expert on urban and community forestry with interested parties, partners, and at industry events and conferences.
• Lead the strategic growth and implementation of SFI’s urban and community forestry program in the U.S., including standards revision and maintenance, outreach and engagement, network development, and initiatives that elevate SFI’s leadership in urban forestry.
• Coordinate with communications staff to recognize SFI certified organizations, elevate success stories, and facilitate adoption of SFI Standards.
