About the role

  • You are Surplex’s on-site representative at our auctions.
  • You are responsible for the content preparation and operational execution of our industrial auctions at various locations across Switzerland.
  • You catalogue machines and equipment at the seller’s site, ensure a professional presentation (including photos, descriptions, and valuation), and manage all logistics related to viewing and collection days.
  • You coordinate external service providers (e.g., for cleaning or disposal), manage on-site escalations, and ensure smooth operations.
  • With a keen eye for detail and a clear focus on KPIs, you actively contribute to the success of auctions and continuously improve our processes.

Requirements

  • Completed technical or business administration qualification
  • Relevant professional experience as a project manager, service technician, or similar role in an industrial environment
  • Basic knowledge of machinery, ideally from metalworking or woodworking, construction or pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, or similar sectors
  • Good spoken and written English, plus proficiency in Italian or French
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and a structured working style
  • Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and ability to work in a team
  • High willingness to travel within Switzerland
  • Technical affinity; confident use of IT systems and MS Office
