About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Payroll Specialists.
- Oversee and participate in the processing of corporate and facility payroll within UKG.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and validate payroll data through regular audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other departments on payroll-related matters.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements within UKG to optimize payroll workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of payroll experience; multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of UKG (UltiPro).
- Solid understanding of payroll laws, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, maintain accuracy, and drive team performance.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred.
