About the role
- Review and approve new component requests submitted to the component management system
- Verify component technical specifications, attributes, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal component data standards and governance policies
- Work with engineering, sourcing, and supply chain teams to define required attributes and metadata for new component categories
- Maintain and update component attribute templates and classification structures
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, sourcing, supply chain, quality and reliability, and manufacturing teams
- Host and facilitate regular cross-department component governance meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve component data quality, workflow efficiency, and approval processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in component engineering, hardware engineering support, or component data management
- Strong understanding of electronic and electromechanical components used in data center hardware
- Experience working with PLM or component management systems
- Strong attention to data accuracy, documentation standards, and governance processes.
