About the role
- Lead Insight Development: Drive relevance and differentiation by uncovering fresh cultural, audience, and behavioral insights.
- Strategic Frameworks & Tools: Apply a broad strategic toolkit — from audience segmentation to competitive research and social listening — to answer business and marketing challenges with clarity.
- Research Synthesis and Storytelling: Transform complex data into clear narratives and actionable insights using strong storytelling and structured frameworks.
- Cultural Fluency: Maintain a constant pulse on trends, emerging behaviors, and cultural moments, surfacing brand-right opportunities to engage audiences in real time.
- Consumer Understanding: Translate mindsets, motivations, and media behaviors into strategies that connect brand objectives with real human needs.
- Analytics Partnership: Collaborate with analysts to interpret performance metrics and platform data, identifying insights that drive creative and strategic optimization.
- Creative Briefing: Write smart, inspiring briefs and manage the full briefing process with creative teams, ensuring ideas ladder back to strategic intent.
- Innovation & Growth: Proactively pitch new ideas, experiments, and frameworks that unlock growth for clients and elevate the agency’s thought leadership.
- Client Leadership: Build trusted relationships with senior clients, translating complex ideas into simple, actionable strategies.
- Cross-Agency Collaboration: Contribute to agency-wide thought leadership initiatives and mentor junior strategists.
- Adaptability: Thrive in the fast-changing technology and AI landscape, balancing short-term campaign needs with long-term brand strategy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience independently leading brand and marketing strategy for complex enterprise clients
- A confident communicator who can present strategy and engage in thoughtful discussion with senior executive stakeholders
- Equally comfortable with bigger picture and smaller details
- Thrives in ambiguity and approaches complex challenges with optimism
- Highly collaborative, working seamlessly with analytics, creative, and account partners
- Deep understanding of social platforms, with the ability to connect channel strategy to overarching brand goals
- Experience with consumer research and social listening tools (GWI, Sprinklr, and Tubular experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with the consumer technology sector is preferred but not required.
