About the role
- Negotiate enterprise SaaS agreements, licensing deals, reseller contracts, and partnership terms.
- Act as primary product counsel—embed with product teams from concept through launch.
- Advise on global privacy compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain legal playbooks, templates, and compliance frameworks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of legal experience, with significant in-house tech experience (ideally SaaS).
- Strong commercial contracting and product counseling background.
- Deep privacy law expertise (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)—privacy certification (CIPP/E or CIPP/US) a plus.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with IP/patents or open-source licensing.
- International employment law knowledge.
- International tax structuring for SaaS.
