About the role
- Drive sales by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
- Consultatively sell our products and services, offering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Develop action plans and schedules to prioritize high-value targets.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and quotes for current and prospective clients.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and sales materials.
- Build strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and support teams for seamless customer service.
- Participate in marketing events, trade shows, and seminars to generate leads.
- Follow up on orders, shipping schedules, and payment collection as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- 2+ years of outside sales experience, ideally within the hose / gasket industry
- Proven ability to grow accounts and win new business in a competitive market
- Experience with consultative or value-added selling approaches
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a territory and prioritize effectively
- Comfort with CRM systems and standard business tools (MS Office, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness for occasional overnight travel
