About the role

  • Oversee and directly manage the Care Navigator team to ensure excellent patient and caregiver experience
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support to team members
  • Develop training materials, playbooks, and onboarding resources for clinical operations staff
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, registration, patient communications, and insurance/billing coordination
  • Monitor and optimize workflows for efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and alignment with clinical care pathways
  • Serve as backup resource for daily operational needs and escalation channel for patient issues
  • Lead clinician onboarding and integration into Sunday Health’s care model and tools
  • Act as primary point of contact between clinical operations and the clinician network for operational support and training
  • Track and collaborate on KPIs for operational and clinician network performance
  • Identify bottlenecks in care navigation and lead cross-functional solutions
  • Contribute to workflow optimization (EMR utilization, scheduling systems, communication tools) and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Partner with product and technology teams to inform feature development and support scaling, pilot launches, and new service offerings
  • Lead or support special projects as assigned by Senior Director of Clinical Operations

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with active licensure (strongly preferred)
  • Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, MSN) preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team
  • High emotional intelligence with a patient-first mindset
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or clinical management (telehealth, primary care, or specialty care) preferred
  • At least 2 years of people management experience in a healthcare or patient-facing setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflows, develop processes, and track KPIs
  • Experience working with EMRs, scheduling systems, and digital health tools
  • Startup or high-growth healthcare company experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel to the DC-MD-VA (DMV) area quarterly or semi-annually
