About the role
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage, execute, and own traditional localization program management tasks, such as working with stakeholders to define localization scope, coordinating handoffs and hand backs with language service providers, supporting deployment of localized assets as well as bug fixing, implementation and testing.
- Vendor management – Language solution providers; Tools providers. Develop and manage strong relationships with providers. Primary admin contact with language and tool providers.
- Create and maintain process and workflow documentation, including tool documentation, training materials and best practices.
- Implement, maintain, and update global localization processes; support automation of process wherever possible by eliminating manual tasks and systems integrations.
- Support creation and coordination of a linguistic quality program.
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to identify and remove critical project blockers; liaise with all regional teams to assess localization needs and find efficiencies.
- Support use of data analysis to optimize localization decisions.
- Support creation and maintenance of translation assets: style guides, terminology, translation memories.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of localization program management experience in developing and creating processes, and SOPs.
- Experience with CAT tool, translation management system and localization platforms. E.g., GlobalLink, Crowd-In, SimulTrans, Memsource
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams from different cultures.
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in an agile environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of internationalization and localization standards, and localization testing best practices.
- Degree in translation, localization, a related technical discipline, or equivalent working experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with e-commerce site and CRM.
- Experience with product, marketing, creative, mobile app, and multimedia content localization, and workflows.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- PMP is a plus.
