  • Lead an organization focused on enhancing Stop Loss Claims capabilities
  • Improve the support we provide to distribution partners
  • Establish the Stop Loss Claims organization’s strategic direction
  • Regularly interact with senior leadership and business stakeholders
  • Identify best practices and lead organizational change initiatives
  • Promote superior customer service to internal and external partners
  • Support new claim system development and implementation for Stop Loss
  • Create and foster a team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
  • Lead complex and strategic initiatives with traditional and agile approaches
  • Translate strategies into actionable project plans and oversee their execution
  • Stabilize business processes and produce streamlined documentation
  • Create an efficient training and development program for staff
  • Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements to processes and reporting systems

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience leading expanded teams within medical stop loss, health insurance, workers compensation, or related industry
  • 5+ years of Stop Loss product exposure and claim administration experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven success leading organizational change and strategic initiatives
  • Superior ability to interface and build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen
  • Thorough working knowledge of Sun Life Stop Loss Claims philosophy and market trends
  • Experience with project management and change management methodologies
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Visio and/or Project Office
