About the role
- Support the Assistant Vice President, Risk Management on the SL Canada financial risk management process.
- Lead the execution of Capital Risk management processes.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Risk Appetite Operating Guidelines for financial risks.
- Complete, review and monitor regular reporting and communicate results to senior management.
- Support Corporate Risk Management in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years insurance experience and qualified FCIA / FSA
- University degree
- Industry experience in related field
- Familiarity with complex financial concepts and IFRS valuation of life insurance contracts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Independent and strong commitment to quality and deadlines
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) required for Quebec only.
