About the role

  • Reporting to the Director, Security Programs, the Senior Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of security deliverables operating in various Project Management Frameworks; Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid-Agile.
  • Responsible for initiating, planning, managing, deploying, and influencing security deliverables on-time, on-budget, and within required quality.
  • Ensures that organization, governance, decision making, and delivery structures are in place to drive value reflecting results.
  • Collaborate with Sponsor(s) and Product Owner(s) to define desired outcomes and ensure that standard practices for managing are applied to plan.
  • Participate in regular risk reviews and proactively identify and remove impediments to support consistent workflow.
  • Work closely with Security Architecture to ensure that sound architectural solutions are planned and meet quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a multi-site/multi time-zone environment and adapt to multiple demands and changes in business conditions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery / transformation / training / coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage large initiatives with multiple functional and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and project delivery skills.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to effectively negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing projects which involve 3rd party managed services.
  • Experience in leading offshoring and global projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • IT experience and/or understanding of Security control environment would be an asset.
  • Formal Agile training / certification would be an asset.
  • Experience in DevOps and Agile Toolset (JIRA, Confluence) would be an asset.
