About the role
- Conduct initial assessments of patient enquiries, symptoms, and concerns using established clinical protocols.
- Determine the urgency of patient needs and direct them to the appropriate service (e.g., GP appointment, urgent care, emergency services).
- Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively in the practice management system.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups as required.
- Address general administrative queries related to services, processes, and paperwork.
- Practice within the full scope of your nursing qualifications and in accordance with AHPRA standards and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain all necessary professional registrations and certifications.
Requirements
- Fluent command of written and spoken English with a clear, articulate, and professional phone manner.
- Proven experience in a clinical nursing role with strong assessment and triage skills.
- Comfortable using computers, phone systems, and practice management software.
- Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is highly desirable.
- Experience in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or virtual care is highly desirable.
