About the role
- Partner with the events team and vendors to support the successful planning of industry and customer-facing events, including negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with event service standards, tracking event budgets, and ensuring the overall timely and efficient execution of events.
- Project manage and coordinate global trade shows & sponsorships, working closely with team members, exhibit house, event services, and contractors to ensure event plans are followed and ultimately successful.
- Oversee event registrations, hotel reservations, and overall logistics to facilitate smooth event operations.
- Coordinate the ordering, inspection, cleaning, preparation, assembly, testing, packing, and shipping of trade show assets and product demos.
- Oversee onsite event setup and dismantle, providing clear direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with event objectives.
- Coordinate the physical inventory of event supplies, signage, and demo products, including the tracking and deployment of product demos and trade show assets using an electronic inventory database system.
- Demonstrate a commitment to understanding the power industry and S&C's solutions to effectively contribute to trade show success.
- Stay abreast of new trends in the trade show industry and face-to-face marketing and make recommendations on how to improve current practices and the customer experience.
- Set up and deploy lead capture tools at tradeshows. Use data to drive measurable ROI and impact to the business.
- Serve as a Producer in external-facing virtual presentations and webinars.
- Ensure the online company promotional store continues to meet business needs. This includes facilitating orders for internal stakeholders, reviewing and refreshing inventory, and managing processes.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a marketing support role, with experience in trade show and event coordination.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to represent S&C professionally.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization and with customers.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets for event services, shipping, and overall project expenditures.
- Ability to use basic hand tools in supporting event setup.
- Good negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate and finalize cost-effective contracts with event service providers, exhibitors, and contractors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
