About the role
- Define project scope and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Prepare project financial forecasts, monitor and control project financials with regular reports to leadership.
- Manage project scope, schedule and cost with little or no supervision.
- Create and maintain project deliverables, plan and coordinate completion with the project team to meet desired stage gates.
- Plan the technical design approach. Lead the preparation of design and work specifications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and other stakeholders through regular team meetings and ensure alignment and mitigate risks as they arise.
- Monitor and report on project cost metrics.
- Manage communication of project status to all stakeholders.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings for Sprints.
- Conduct backlog meetings for sprints and communicate sprint results.
- Coordinate Steering Committee / Task Force meetings and provide minutes and track action items.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree and/or specific degree in project management, business management, technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- PMP OR Prince2 certification is required.
- 4+ year of project supervision or project management experience.
- Experience with engineering projects and technology transfer projects is an asset.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence project stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform process mapping and identification of critical path and tasks.
