About the role

  • Define project scope and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare project financial forecasts, monitor and control project financials with regular reports to leadership.
  • Manage project scope, schedule and cost with little or no supervision.
  • Create and maintain project deliverables, plan and coordinate completion with the project team to meet desired stage gates.
  • Plan the technical design approach. Lead the preparation of design and work specifications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and other stakeholders through regular team meetings and ensure alignment and mitigate risks as they arise.
  • Monitor and report on project cost metrics.
  • Manage communication of project status to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings for Sprints.
  • Conduct backlog meetings for sprints and communicate sprint results.
  • Coordinate Steering Committee / Task Force meetings and provide minutes and track action items.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and/or specific degree in project management, business management, technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP OR Prince2 certification is required.
  • 4+ year of project supervision or project management experience.
  • Experience with engineering projects and technology transfer projects is an asset.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence project stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform process mapping and identification of critical path and tasks.
