About the role

  • Assist in designing, developing, modifying, and verifying mechanical components for medical devices under supervision.
  • Support prototyping and bench testing activities to validate designs.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and evaluate solutions against requirements.
  • Conduct studies and research to support product design decisions.
  • Interpret customer needs and understand product use and clinical procedures.
  • Learn and apply industry standards, regulatory requirements, and design controls; assist in creating engineering documentation such as Design History Files.
  • Work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate ownership, integrity, and teamwork while learning processes, systems, and building strong relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical, or related discipline.
  • 0+ years of work experience
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and tools, design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of design and concept generation CAD or CAE modeling tools (ProE, Creo or SolidWorks preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods
  • Technical ability to create, read, and interpret engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods
