About the role
- Assist in designing, developing, modifying, and verifying mechanical components for medical devices under supervision.
- Support prototyping and bench testing activities to validate designs.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and evaluate solutions against requirements.
- Conduct studies and research to support product design decisions.
- Interpret customer needs and understand product use and clinical procedures.
- Learn and apply industry standards, regulatory requirements, and design controls; assist in creating engineering documentation such as Design History Files.
- Work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure project success.
- Demonstrate ownership, integrity, and teamwork while learning processes, systems, and building strong relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical, or related discipline.
- 0+ years of work experience
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and tools, design principles.
- Basic knowledge of design and concept generation CAD or CAE modeling tools (ProE, Creo or SolidWorks preferred)
- Basic knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods
- Technical ability to create, read, and interpret engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools.
- Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods
