About the role

  • Provide technical support, preventive maintenance, installations, site surveys, demand and emergency services for digital cinema equipment
  • Perform maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and power supplies
  • Determine and execute customer support plans and demand service
  • Test electronic assemblies and components using meters, color meter, resistance bridge, oscilloscope, and computerized test equipment
  • Examine equipment for defects, replace defective components, repair equipment, and perform field testing
  • Resolve firmware and software issues
  • Investigate customer complaints about quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products
  • Record, analyze, and report production quality and customer complaint status using written and electronic reporting
  • Install electronic or digital equipment and perform testing
  • Record daily activities in Field Point including work description, expenses, hours, labor, and travel
  • Take ownership and perform additional duties as assigned
  • Position requires in and out of market travel up to 70-80% and ability to work weekends, holidays, and be on-call

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with electronics related to the Pro-Av market
  • Familiarity with computer and networking concepts and architecture
  • Experience with digital cinema equipment (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat and bend for extended periods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter able to find and resolve issues
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of personnel
  • Willingness to travel in and out of market up to 70-80% and work weekends, holidays, and on-call
