About the role

  • Support the Engineering Work Center with installation of new equipment on the range and into facilities
  • Modify existing equipment and provide troubleshooting assistance for communication systems
  • Field engineering, installation, and integration of equipment necessary to meet TTR communication and video requirements
  • Project support including engineering assistance in design, fabrication, cost analysis, and integration of approved projects
  • Integration of system modifications, range reconfigurations and new facility buildups
  • Assistance in identifying sources of spare parts for systems
  • Complex system analysis and troubleshooting to assist in returning mission support systems to operational status
  • Document maintenance actions in Integrated Enterprise Management Systems (IEMS)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years' technical experience with Tactical Training Range systems or equivalent military systems
  • Five years of instrumentation experience in the following areas: Fiber Optics theory, Electromagnetic waves, antennas, Optical systems, Communications systems (analog, digital and voice), Video signal processing and recording, Microwave Transmission, Static/dynamic systems calibration (radar and data), Spectrum Analysis, Project Management, FM/VHF/UHF Systems
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training
  • Possess a valid state Driver’s License
  • Tower Climb Certified
