About the role
- Responsible for interpreting or transliterating academic content for students who are D/HH
- Collaborates with school community to share information regarding students’ progress and needs
- Serve as an integral member of the IEP team and attend IEP meetings
- Adapt language and materials to meet individual needs of students with hearing loss
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in educational environment
- Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually
- National Interpreter Certification issued by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and/or State specific educational interpreter licensure
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
