About the role

  • Responsible for interpreting or transliterating academic content for students who are D/HH
  • Collaborates with school community to share information regarding students’ progress and needs
  • Serve as an integral member of the IEP team and attend IEP meetings
  • Adapt language and materials to meet individual needs of students with hearing loss

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in educational environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually
  • National Interpreter Certification issued by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and/or State specific educational interpreter licensure
