Counselor

• MHPSS counsellor will be responsible for the provision of psychological counselling to the identified Learners enrolled into Jahan Educational Centres through individual or group counselling sessions.
• Ensure compliance with adopted SOPs and IASC guidelines to provide beneficial service to the children suffering from PSS distress.
• To be in continues contact with learners and their guardians.
• To seek for distress signs and symptoms in learners and provide required PSS support on a timely manner.
• To ensure weekly and monthly meetings and interactions are in place with learners.
• To ensure learners are kept encouraged and motivated all the time.
• To identify family related/ driven PSS issues of learners are identified and appropriate advice are provided in a timely manner.
• To follow up on absent learners, and ensure proper and effective participation of learners in the virtual classes.
• To provide online support to learners on the times required.
• To ensure availability on online classes, in case of requirement for PSS support.
• To provide in-person PSS support to learners and their guardians in refresher meetings.
• To conduct awareness sessions for learners and their guardians.
• To prepare structured psycho-social support activities by careful consideration of Street Child’s policies on the subject.
• To ensure participation of all learners in planned activities.
• To carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles including but not limited to do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality and accountability.
• To ensure record keeping and documents management process is in place for each activity conducted in consultation of the project manager.
• To ensure a safe, friendly and non-discriminatory environment is upheld during all activities.
• Any other relevant tasks given by the street child’s project manager and relevant site supervisor in Jahan education network.

• En affermissement avec les partenaires éducatifs gouvernementaux et l’Unicef, développer une compréhension approfondie des approches pédagogiques modernes et les techniques associées afin de mettre à la disposition des différents acteurs de l’Education, un éventail d’outils adaptés et contextualisés pour un enseignement de qualité au niveau local, provincial et national.
• Avec une attention particulière sur l’apprentissage au bon niveau (TaRL), déployer les techniques conçues en classes réelles en formant les enseignants pour développer l'ensemble des compétences pratiques nécessaires dans l’enseignement.
• Développer des notes ou articles sur les points clé pouvant améliorer les programmes d’Education en RDC (Teaching in Crisis Context, Last Miles Learning, Ladder to Learning, EAGLE, SMoLL).
• Affiner et améliorer continuellement les ressources et techniques d'enseignement et d'apprentissage en passant du temps en classe, en testant de nouveaux matériels et techniques répondant aux défis identifiés, en s’appuyant sur les données et l’expérience acquise.
• Suivre et documenter les pratiques pédagogiques innovantes mises en œuvre.
• Suivre le processus d’intégration et la mise en œuvre systématique de TaRL dans le programme national en RDC.
• Assurer le lead des réflexions sur l’intégration des langues locales/nationales dans l’approche TaRL.
• Entretenir de bonnes relations avec les parties prenantes du système éducatif, les autorités locales et nationales, sous les auspices du Head of Programme.
• Assurer la formation (évaluation des besoins, préparation, réalisation, rapportage, suivi post formations).
• Évaluer continuellement l’effet et l’impact de l’intégration des approches innovantes dans l’enseignement (TaRL et autres) sur l’apprentissage des enfants.
• Apporter un appui technique à d’autres programmes de la région francophone de Street-Child en ce qui concerne TaRL.
• Représenter Street Child dans le Cluster Education au niveau national et influencer les politiques d’Education au niveau national en RDC.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Ensure adherence to Street Child’s internal control and financial procedures and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Maintain inventory of office equipment and fixed assets and ensure compliance with finance and procurement policies and government tax requirements.
• Record transactions daily in AQILLA, perform control checks, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting to the country team.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents for payments, ensure policy compliance, record bank transactions, and ensure payments reach beneficiaries.
• Manage advances to staff and partners, perform cash counts, and ensure partner books comply with donor requirements.
• Provide accounting and financial assistance to country team, review partner expenses and payment vouchers, support project cash flow and donor disbursements.
• Maintain financial practices and controls, ensure timely vendor payments, monitor coding of expenditures and review sub-recipient financial reports.
• Support prevention and investigation of fraud, assist during internal and external audits, implement audit recommendations and track corrective actions.
• Lead capacity building for partners on financial management and internal controls; coordinate sub-recipient assessments and monitoring visits.
• Maintain employee register, prepare monthly payroll including taxes and statutory obligations, and perform other HR-related functions.
