About the role
- Perform all standard and non-standard activities in accordance with Stream Data Centers’ operating procedures or maintenance work instructions.
- Perform rounds inspecting mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems (MEP/FLS) throughout the building and equipment yards.
- Monitor Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) dashboards for alarms and anomalies.
- Perform BMS operations and analyze data to ensure proper functions of all critical systems.
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on critical infrastructure including UPS, FCUs, CRAH/CRACs, chillers, generators, and electrical switchgear.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, network, and project teams to coordinate site-wide activities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all equipment related activity and site issue resolution based on priorities.
- Participate in technical training and certification programs, team meetings, shift handovers, and post-mortem reviews.
- Escort vendors and contractors during maintenance or installation activities, ensuring badge compliance and activity logging.
- Comply with Stream Data Centers departmental policies, including all EHS policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in an industry that includes operations & maintenance
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and their application to work orders
- Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Working knowledge of mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems
- Proficient with computer systems including documents, spreadsheets, and email
- Preferred: 5+ years’ experience in a critical operations environment, preferably in the data center industry
- Preferred: Experience scheduling and planning maintenance for large-scale, complex systems in an operations environment
- Physical requirements: ability to move heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds); crawl in tight spaces; work in noisy environments; potential to work at heights and from ladders; extended walking and long periods away from a desk
